For the third time since last summer I got a mention in the Columbia Missourian‘s Vox Magazine. This time it’s about the comics again, specifically how Columbians like me and a few others are publishing to the internet.
They asked me for some samples to show off either in print or on their website. I chose Joy, a one page comic I did for the forthcoming Midmococo Comics Anthology. I picked it because a) I think it’s awesome and b) It would otherwise only be shown in b&w.
I actually made Joy last summer using my Wacom and Pixelmator. The actual concept (a meditation on the feeling of absolute joyfulness) was from 2007, when things weren’t going so hot in my life. For the personification of joy I chose Lori, from Collegetown. Let me know what you think!
You’re becoming quite the Vox regular 🙂 Congrats!!
